Recent field trip to the Montery Bay Aquarium/Cougar Readers

Our recent field trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium was the best ever because so many parents were able to join us.  Students enjoyed all the exhibits, but the touching tank was definitely the favorite.  Some of our builders made an aquarium with tanks extended beyond the building!  :)

CONGRATULATIONS to our 12 Cougar Readers who earned awards for reading, recording and returning their Cougar Reader forms.  Well done, all!!!

  • Our Vision

Calabasas Elementary is a school that bases decisions on students’ needs. We believe that every individual deserves dignity and respect in our school community. We believe that every individual is responsible for the success of each student. We believe in working together to ensure every student’s achievement. We will motivate students, set goals and celebrate their successes. We will ensure access to the programs our students need. We will be mindful of the use of instructional minutes and use them to teach standards-based curriculum; therefore ensuring our students life-long success in the global community.
  • PVUSD Mission Statement

Our mission is to educate and support learners in reaching their highest potential. We prepare students to pursue successful futures and to make positive contributions to the community and global society.
  • Garden/Environmental Education Project w/Doug Cronyn

We are fortunate to have teaching scientist/artist Doug Cronyn lead our students in staff over the past months on an exciting learning journey through gardening, conservation, sustainability and environmental education. Doug has used only minor funds to build up Calabasas garden plot, planter boxes and green house to a fully functioning garden and learning environment. Click on the link below to see and learn more!
